The current New Brunswick PRP licence plate series started in 1990-91 for buses and trucks registered in the International Registration Plan (IRP) since 2001 or Canadian Agreement on Vehicle Registration (CAVR) from 1982-2001. Buses and trucks share the same plate series with no visible distinction for either. PRP plates have always been issued in pairs. Renewal year sticker issuance ceased in April 2026.
