Kansas 2007 general issue readied

Mar 12, 2006 — Kansas will begin phasing out the current “capitol dome” baseplate, and begin issuing this new variety, in 2007, according to information from the state’s Department of Revenue.

The new base features a section of the official state seal that reveals a sunny, hilly landscape, 34 stars, and the state slogan, Ad astra per aspera (“through our endeavors, the stars”).

The base is slated to be in use through at least 2011.
