North Carolina “surfer” plate moves ahead

Oct 3, 2005 — The Buddy Pelletier Surfing Foundation is backing North Carolina’s newest specialty plate, and is in the process of collecting the 300 preorders necessary to move the plate into production.

The plates will be available for $20 over normal fees, of which $10 will go to the foundation, which provides “scholastic and humanitarian aid to members of the East Coast surfing community.” For more information, see www.buddy.pelletier.com.
