Ohio: The Slogan State

Nov 27, 2011 — Ohio’s 2012 general-issue license plate was created by students at the Columbus College of Art and Design.

The greyish background is a collage of small-print slogans, including such compelling tourism-boosters as “34th largest state,” “mother of modern presidents” and “first light bulb.” Could it be the first tag cloud to appear on a license plate? Thanks to Bob Lade and Joe Hurd for the tip!
