Indiana creates unique plate for Medal of Honor winner

Dec 12, 2011 — The Indiana BMV has honored Medal of Honor recipient Sammy Davis, of Freedom, Indiana, with a one-of-a-kind license plate commemorating his service.

Indiana’s new Medal of Honor plate design (so far issued only to Davis) is shown here.

Davis was awarded the nation’s highest honor for his actions following a 1967 firefight in Vietnam.
