Georgia 2012 design winner announced

Sep 22, 2011 — Linda Sosebee of Forsyth, Georgia is the winner of the 2012 Georgia license plate design contest.

Her design was chosen by popular vote, and beat out over 500 other entries.

The new plates will be produced with 3M Digital License Plate technology, instead of being embossed as in the past.

Issuance will begin in 2012 as motorists’ plates reach their five-year age limit.

Deal’s office states that an alternative plain plate will also be available, although no further details are given.
