Passenger HBK 45 AAA08 reported as a low. Andrew Osborne reports that Yukon plates now have Alberta HiSigns dies.
Current base started as AAA01 in 1990. The "A" series has run out at AZZ99 in 2003 with a Nov 04 sticker. Shifted to BAA01 early on, likely 1992. "E" series began about 2000. HAA followed EZZ.

Antique Vehicle Z1975 Plates are personalized. "The Klondike" on top. Has "gold panner" if 5 or fewer numbers or letters are used. Richard Zral
Commercial - Heavy (1990-2009 series) CHG 97 Started at CAA01 and is for heavy trucks (over 4,500 kg. or 10,000 lbs.) and is almost identical to passenger plates except for having "commercial" at the top, instead of "The Klondike." Some have lower case letters for word "commercial", some capitals. Has "gold panner."
Commercial - Heavy (2009 series) CD 300 In 2009 series started at CA001. The former series, with 3 letters and 2 numbers, ran out. Andrew Osborne
Commercial - Light CZJ 08 Started at CLA01 and is for commercial light trucks (under 4,500 kg.) and commercial or business owned cars. Has "gold panner." Says "The Klondike" on top. Andrew Osborne
Dealer DLR830 Started as DLR001. Says "Dealer" on top. No "gold panner."

Municipal Govts DAF41 Started at DAA01. All towns and villages use this series. All vehicles, including fire, bus, heavy and light vehicles. Has "gold panner." Andrew Osborne
Other Government G4x xxx Note: Yukon does not use the letters D, I, Q, U, or Y, except in the first position on YTG, DLR, and bus plates, but they did issue the BBU series for some reason.
Spacing changed between G47 519 and G48023.

Yukon Terr Govt (1990 onward) G48028 The letter "G" indicates a Yukon Government vehicle. Used on all sorts of vehicles, including light trucks, cars, SUVs. The first two numbers, ie "47" denote vehicle type. The 47s are SUVs. The entire 5 digits are the numbers assigned to the particular vehicle for fleet identification. Says "government" on top. Some of this series had a space between the first two numbers and the last three. No particular reason. No "gold panner."
These plates are grouped by vehicle type so brand new ones from G40 and G46 are also being issued.

Yukon Terr Govt (1990-2008) YTG 999 Started at YTG 001. Used only on vehicles within the Dept of Highways and Public Works.
No "gold panner". Series ran out of numbers.
