Passenger 320800 Annual registrations are still in effect for most classes. Andrew Osborne reports that NWT and Nunavut are issuing 18 month registrations for some commercial plates.
The new graphic base began at 300000.

Commercial C31314 Spectacular Base (Started at C30000)
Commercial plates had CV up to 9999 but reduced to just C after 10000. Size of the C is larger from around 19500 and up.

Dealer D550 Dealer plates are rare with a small D followed by a 3-digit number. Only about 550 of these have been issued. Andy DeCeunynck

Government G6300 Government plates have a smaller G followed by a number. They go on RCMP vehicles and other government owned cars, but not buses. About 6300 of these have been issued. Andy DeCeunynck

Public Service P11387 Public Service plates are issued on Taxis, buses, and on the front of semis. Initially, they started with the letters PS, but somewhere (well before 10000), they reverted to just the letter P. The P is still smaller than the numbers that follow it. Rental RE4000 From Andy: Rental cars have a special plate with RE followed by the number. The RE is the same size as the numbers.

Veteran VET232 From Andy: Veteran plates are the letters VET followed by a 3-digit number. I only saw VET001 and VET022. These plates stand out because they are red instead of blue. They are the only plates that are of a different color than the standard set. Andy DeCeunynck
